ACE members,

We strongly encourage everyone to read and consider, get clarification as needed, and vote on your tentative agreement on or before this Wednesday, July 15, 2009.
All ballots must be received at the Anchorage Field Office no later than 4:00 pm this Wednesday, July 15, 2009 OR delivered in person to the ACE informational meeting Wednesday, July 15 between 4:00 and 5:45 pm.
The informational meeting Wednesday is at the ASD Education Center in the blue room (go upstairs, east end of building, through the Training and Professional Development door, take an immediate right and then a quick left down the hall; it’s the large room on the right).
Negotiators will be on hand Wednesday to answer your questions, as noted in the June 29 letter you received by US mail with your copy of the tentative agreement. Please refer to that letter for complete voting instructions and to find your ballot. Please also note that the meeting is in the blue room and not the Board room.

The ACE Negotiating Team would like to thank all ACE members for your strong, unified, visible support. With your efforts we have reached a tentative agreement (TA) with the District. You will be receiving copies of the TA along with additional information about next steps in the ratification process via U.S. mail in the coming weeks. Here are some highlights of the TA:
* Annual step language was preserved
* Longevity was preserved
* Work Calendar language was preserved
* Inroads were made regarding part-time issues
* Full cash out for annual leave over 30 days
In addition to step movement, the salary scale will increase 3% the first year, 2.25% the 2nd year, and 2% the third year of the contract.
In solidarity,
Susan Williams, Kristine Stout, Russell Jackson, Mike Fleckenstein, and Steve Ex
